Lindsay and Alex are high school sweethearts from Ottawa Canada. Whenever I meet anyone from Canada I have to ask if they speak french Canadian…and they do…and I forgot to ask them to say anything in French to me!! Urg anyway that’s probably because I was having so much fun shooting them. Needless to say they are getting married in Canada which makes me sad that I won’t be part of it, but at the same time I’m super excited for them both. Maybe it was the adorable matching bikes with names “coffee” and “cream” or the fact that they are so wonderful together. I truly had a great spring afternoon with them and wish all the best.

When I spoke to Heidi and Jason a week ago about their engagement shoot, they suggested going to the beach and the Market Avenue Wine Bar in Ohio City.  I was super excited about both locations especially the wine bar (I had my eye on that place for this very reason). The beach worked out for about 15 min. before we were all freezing and couldn’t take it any more. I suggested going over to Abbey Avenue Bridge where we could get the skyline. It was pretty awesome we even found some graffiti that just so happened to go with everything. It was meant to be. The shoot continued at the wine bar where we practically had the place to ourselves. It was an intimate setting and oozing with ambiance. Thanks Heidi and Jason for being so in love? as cheesy as that sounds, it certainly makes my job way easy.

When I met Kassie and Bahige for the first time, it was obvious these two love to have fun. They met while attending school at Case Western Reserve, and though their first date was at Olive Garden, I felt it was more appropriate to have their engagement shoot at Case (no offense to Olive Garden). The weather was perfect.  We laughed all afternoon. Maybe it had something to do with spring finally approaching or simply that these two are in love. With their wedding fast approaching in April, it was time to start celebrating. Thanks Kassie and Bahige for a great afternoon!

Katie, Zach and I had a high tech Skype meeting not even a month ago. Though it always feels a little odd at first, it’s super convenient for both of us since they live in Columbus and I’m in Cleveland. I’m flattered to say that I was Katie’s first Skype experience!  When they told me they wanted to do an engagement shoot in February, my first reaction was really? Than I thought about it. It’s kind of perfect for a wintery shoot…you don’t have the minus 10 degree temperatures. After discussing some idea’s, I knew Peninsula was the place to be. We started out by the railroad tracks and ended up on a park trail. All together it was a great afternoon.

When I met up with Kathryn and Michael at the Cleveland Museum of Art to do their engagement shoot, it started to rain.  Fortunately we both had umbrella’s and an open mind. We had so much fun! I just love the photo’s of them flying away. Thanks Kathryn and Michael for playing in the rain with me.

We went to the annual Strawberry Festival in Kirtland for this totally fun engagement shoot. It was great… we got there early enough to enjoy the park almost to ourselves. It was a perfect day… fun in the sun with tons of colorful rides and prizes. Thanks Josh and Lauren for a great afternoon 🙂

Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I take photo’s like these. When everything falls into place and the rest is just effortless. We couldn’t have asked for better weather..it was a perfect spring day. These two can’t keep their hands off each other! as they shouldn’t! because they couldn’t be more perfect for one another. I’m super excited to be shooting their wedding in a few weeks… ahh sigh
