Miranda’s Vintage Bridal

Posted on: May 8th, 2013 by Jason Crocker

Miranda’s Vintage Bridal is charming in every way.  She has an incredible eye for detail and a select number of gorgeous vintage finds that she found herself. When Miranda approached me with the idea of shooting some of her dresses, I knew our collaboration would be perfect. You can find her quaint store in Tremont Cleveland. Looking forward to doing this again with her in the near future.

Kassie + Bahige

Posted on: April 29th, 2013 by Jason Crocker

Sometimes when I’m shooting a wedding, it doesn’t surprise me when the groom and bride have something cooked up their sleeve (a little something extra). Even though Kassie and Bahige told me about the belly dancer and grand entrance, I still felt unprepared. Until it happens you don’t know where to go, what lens to have on, flash or no flash! Phew I got so many photos I had a hard time editing. So many smiles and love for these two. I feel gushy thinking about how beautiful their ceremony was and all the fantastic traditions. Ceremony was at St. Maron and the reception took place at the Wyndham.

Sue + Dave

Sue was kind enough to give me her description of the wedding. She say’s it best, it was a magical night and from a photographers perspective, a dream. “Our wedding united three cultures: Laotian on the bride’s side and Italian and Irish on the groom’s. Our guests consisted of family and friends from 14 cities who traveled to celebrate with us. As the day progressed into night, the moonlight reflecting off the Lake Erie River and also shinning through the large arched glassed windows brought the room to life. The day was filled with so much excitement and emotions from the time I woke up. Some of the highlights of the day were the 60 degrees weather that we lucked out with, seeing my bridesmaids and groomsmen all done up for our pictures, our awesome photographers and the locations for our photo shoots, walking down the altar to my husband and exchanging our vows in front of our entire family and friends, mingling with everyone during cocktail hour, laughing and dancing to the bridal party harlem shake introduction, weeping to the sweet speeches from our parents, enjoying the toasts from the best man and maid of honor, our first dance moment, and the surprise appearance of the Easter Bunny. Lol. Our DJ, Glenn Anderson, who works at Q104 who was recommended my a family co-worker, was great. Although I created an entire music list for the open dance floor he added a few of his own songs to keep the crowd dancing throughout the night.

Overall I would describe our wedding as lucky because of the weather, diverse because of the multicultural backgrounds, spontaneous with how we pulled off last minute plans, and unpredictable because we didn’t realized how much fun everyone had. It was a magical night celebrating with all of our family and friends under one roof.”

Sarah + Joe

Sarah and Joe’s ceremony and reception was held at the lovely Botanical Garden’s. The early fall air was perfect. Beautiful blue sky’s with puffs of clouds and an early sunset to capture fuzzy golden flares. Details were kept simple and classy. Overall the whole day was gorgeous. Thank you Sarah and Joe for letting me part of your special day!

Stefanie + Franjo

What do you get when you combine a Croatian family with a Slovenian family, one crazy full on wedding that’s what. Keeping the ethnic traditions alive, the party started at the Grooms house with live music, and a shot of slivovice at the door.  There were so many fun little things that happened through out the day like their dog Napoleon (the cutest Pomeranian) dressed in his own formal wear hiding underneath the wedding dress. Oh and the 99 red balloons that swept into the sky as they made their exit. The 18 bridal party couples (36 people) had a tough time keeping it quiet in the library…who can blame them! The reception was held at the American-Croatian Lodge.  The inspiration was a combination of Asian influences such as Bonsai tree’s for center pieces, and pink tapestries. Overall I can’t get over how much fun this wedding was…needless to say these two are loved by many.

Brittany + Justin

When I met Brittany for the first time, she told me the reception would be in a giant tent. Immediately my brain started clicking away with idea’s and inspiration. The ceremony took place at St. John of the Cross and the reception (tent) was at Quail Hollow Resort.  Every last detail was carefully crafted down to the handwritten heart shaped rocks, to the “B” and “J” wreaths at the entrance. Overall this pink and purple colorstory was so pretty, romantic, and everything had a lovely glow.  This was the kind of wedding were dad cried and friends partied hard because of how much love they love each other. Thank you so much Brittany and Justin for letting me be part of this gorgeous wedding.

Kathryn + Michael

I had the privilege of shooting Katherine and Michael’s wedding 2 weeks ago. The ceremony took place at Holy Rosary church in little Italy, and reception at the Tudor Arms Hotel. If I could describe this wedding in just a few words, I would say elegant, classy, and timeless. The whole day had a wonderful calm relaxed feel. It was wonderful to see how much love these two have for each other and given any situation they know how to have fun. Congratulations again Katherine and Michael! I can’t wait to hear about your honeymoon to Italy.

I can not get over how perfect this wedding was, down to the awesome 38″ pink and white balloons to the gorgeous necklace Lauren wore. Every last detail came together perfectly.  The ceremony and reception took place at the charming Manakiki. This wedding rocked, I can’t thank Lauren and Josh enough for letting me part of it.

Jessica + Eric

When I took Jessica and Eric’s engagement photos back in November, I knew then this was going to be one heck of a party/wedding. We started the gorgeous ceremony at St. Angela Merici church where I found out that Jessica’s parents got married! Then we went to Bain Park Cabin for perfect shaded stunning photos….seriously the lighting was awesome. Afterwards we headed to a pier that was down the road to complete the photo shoot (I questioned the props Jessica had in hand, so glad we did it!) . The Reception was at Ahern’s Banquet Center. Once the party started it was bumpin…Thanks Jessica and Eric for an awesome wedding!

Lauren + Carl

When I first spoke with Lauren about where she wanted her photos taken, she knew one location had to be Wager Beach (where Carl proposed) and the other would be the Rockerfeller Green House. I couldn’t have picked better locations to take these pictures. Everything about it was perfect. We had so much fun…the photos speak for themselves.
